Baptist Health Miami Campus Wide HVAC Upgrades

Summary

Moses Engineering completed the design and other associated MEP work for this massive forty-eight air handling unit project for Baptist Health South Florida. The project was conducted on the building during normal operation, so the design and construction was completed in phases to allow the building’s systems to function normally. Additionally, because of the small mechanical spaces, Moses Engineering conducted a study of the current environment and associated HVAC space, developing a meticulous design to fit the new equipment in the allotted space. A further evaluation was done to record any deficiencies of the existing facility, verify engineering load calculations, and meet all ventilation air requirements for every space. A report was then submitted recommendations for the owner’s review. Moses Engineering also prepared an AHU selection matrix, prepared a preliminary construction phasing plan, and provided construction cost estimates for each construction phase and design submittal. After providing reviews and programming during construction, an As-Built drawing production was completed to provide proper record of the massive changes to the HVAC system.
