Projects

University of Miami Indoor Practice Facility

Summary

The project was an 81,000 sq. ft. new sports facility at the University of Miami with some office space and pursuing LEED EA Prerequisite 1 and EA Credit 3. As the Commissioning Authority, our firm provided commissioning services for the central building automation system, HVAC system, light system and controls, and the domestic hot water system. Specifically, our team developed and implemented a commissioning plan, conducted a design review, and submitted pre-functional checklists for the contractor to ready the system for functional testing. Our team then tested all of the systems included, verifying proper function and owner satisfaction. Moses Engineering performed LEED support services as it related to the desired EA prerequisite 1 and EA credit 3. Additionally, our firm performed site visits to observe component and system installations and attended selected planning and job-site meetings to obtain information of the construction progress. Finally, Moses Engineering completed and submitted a systems manual, as well as a final report.
